T. H. Rogers Magnet School Application Process

Applying to T. H. Rogers Magnet School involves a few key steps to ensure a smooth application and enrollment process:

• Acquire GT Label: Prospective students MUST first obtain a Gifted and Talented (GT) label through official testing.
• Complete Application: Submit a comprehensive application through the HISD Office of School Choice, selecting T. H. Rogers as your first choice, followed by other schools you are interested in.
• Lottery Process: Admission to T. H. Rogers is determined by a lottery system, as it is not a zoned campus.

Gifted & Talented Testing Information

To be considered for a seat at T. H. Rogers, a student MUST test and acquire the GT label.

• HISD Zoned Campus Testing: Students are tested at their HISD-zoned campus. Please contact the HISD Office of School Choice or your neighborhood school directly.
• GT Label from Another School District: If your student is identified as GT from another school district, you may submit the HISD School Choice Application during the application window.
• GT Label from HISD: If your student is already identified as GT from HISD, they do not have to test again; please submit the HISD School Choice application.
• T. H. Rogers Testing Policy: T. H. Rogers is NOT an HISD-zoned campus; it is considered a Separate & Unique School (SUS). We do NOT offer testing at our campus.
