NWEA MAP & STAAR
T. H. Rogers
Where Academics and Character Matter!
Academic Testing at T. H. Rogers
Our students participate in two key assessments to monitor academic growth and readiness:
- NWEA MAP Growth: Adaptive interim assessment to track student progress across the year.
- STAAR: State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness—our annual statewide accountability test.
📈 NWEA MAP Growth
NWEA MAP is a growth-based, adaptive assessment used district-wide.
📘 STAAR – Statewide Accountability
STAAR is administered annually in grades 3–8 and includes end-of-course exams in Algebra I and other subjects. TA provides a wealth of resources for preparation and practice.
Why It Matters
These assessments inform instructional strategies, benchmark progress, and reflect readiness. MAP Growth allows for goal-setting and data-driven instruction, while STAAR outcomes contribute to district accountability ratings.
