Orchestra Supply List
- Beginning orchestra: Do not start renting or buying an instrument until your child decides which instrument they want to play. In the first week of school, students will try different instruments.
- Instrument package: instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass), case, bow, cleaning cloth, and rosin. Rental is recommended. Avoid purchasing via Amazon/eBay–type marketplaces. Label the instrument with a clear name tag.
- D’Addario tuner: violin/viola/cello/bass. Please make sure you buy the D’Addario model. See Pic 2 / Pic 4.
- Shoulder Rest (violin & viola only): approx. $20–30; Everest or Kun recommended. See Pic 1.
