Campus Action Plan — 2025–2026
What is a Campus Action Plan?
In Texas, every public school campus develops an annual improvement plan to raise student achievement and meet state standards. State law refers to this as a Campus Improvement Plan (CIP). Many districts, including HISD, present the same work as a Campus Action Plan (CAP).
- Annual & collaborative: Created, reviewed, and revised each year with the campus-level committee.
- What it includes: goals, evidence-based strategies, timelines, responsible staff, resources, and progress monitoring.
- Aligned & data-driven: Built from campus data (e.g., STAAR, local assessments) and aligned to the Effective Schools Framework.
